Meet Your Olathe Dance Center Teachers:

Brenda Brodrick: is a graduate of The School of The Hartford Ballet teacher training program and has a teacher's certificate in dance. Some of her former years of training include: The Jeanne Humphrey School of Ballet, Barbara Drumm Mayne School of Dance and Gymnastics, Pioneer Valley Ballet Guild, Canterella School of Ballet, The Berkshire Ballet, Harlequin Theatre at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, and the Hartford Ballet. She has performed with and been member of the Pioneer Valley Ballet, The Berkshire Ballet, and a former gymnast and cheerleader. She has performed at and choreographed for Disney's Magic Music Day's. She has also been a High School gymnastics assistance coach, and has choreographed for elementary, junior high, and high school musicals. Brenda founded The Huntington Dance Center and The Huntington Dance Center Performing Arts company while living in Massachusetts. Brenda was Ballet Mistress, Director, and choreographer for the Huntington Dance Center Performing Arts Company. Brenda worked in the Olathe School District as an office aide and a Kindergarten classroom aide for 13 years. She has worked with Chisholm Trail and Indian Trail Drill Teams. Brenda is studio director and teaches Creative Dance, Ballet, Pointe, Acro dance, and Dance Company at Olathe Dance Center.
Amelia Taylor Perez: is a graduate of Kansas University, she has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance. Amelia has advanced training in: jazz, tap, improvisation, choreography, lyrical, arobatics, modern, and ballet tenique. She is also experienced training in Flamenco, Renaissnce & Baroque, African dance, Classical East Indian dance, and aerial circus arts. She was a four year member of the University Dance Company at Kansas University. She has worked with choreographers such as Janet Charelston, Muriel Cohan, Patrick Suzeau, Michelle Heffner Hayes, Jerel Hilding, Joan Stone, Bill Evans, and Carl Flink. She has attended workshops working with Pilobolus, Camille A Brown, Dusan Tynek, and Bill T Jones Company. Amelia has also performed with 940 dance company in a performance commemorating the Underground Railroad, working with Joan Stone and Susan Rieger. She also worked on the Kansas 150 project "Traditional Dances in Contemporary Kansas", choreographed and lectured by Joan Stone. She has performed in Disney's Magic Music Days, Pioneer Valley's Nutcracker, the MLS soccer championship along side Christina Aguilera, and 2004 Cotton Bowl half time show. Amelia has worked in Olathe with Indian Trail and Chisholm Trail Drill Teams and has choreographed for local High School musicals. Amelia is a member of Point B Dance Company in Lawrence, Kansas. Amelia teaches, Jazz, and Dance Company at Olathe Dance Center.
Jessi Davis: Jessi’s passion for dance started at a young age and progressed into gymnastics and musical theater as well. Jessi is a Licensed Zumba Instructor which fused her love for dance and fitness. Jessi is NETA Certified Group Exercise Instructor and teaches at locations throughout Johnson County. Jessi teaches tot dance, Acrobatics dance, Hip hop, Drill team technique, and jazz at Olathe Dance Center.

Hannah Brodrick: Hannah is a graduate of Brown Mackie College with a degree in Applied Science. She is the Lead tech at The Cat Clinic of Johnson County. She has been employed there since 2014 and is often called the cat whisperer.
Hannah’s has theater and dance experience including:
Huntington Dance Center, Huntington Dance Center Performing Arts Company, Kansas City Dance Expresssions, The Dance Craze, Power House Dance, Dance Fit Flow.
Hannah was a co captain on CST Drill Team and was a member of CST Drill Team and Olathe South Golden Girls Drill Team.
Hannah has taken master classes in California, Connecticut, Kansas, and Massachusetts.
She has performed in Disney’s Magic Music Days .
